Nothing here was arranged before it was recorded. Parts were added, listened to against everything else, and kept or removed on that basis — which makes the tracking and the mixing a single process rather than two stages.

Working in layers

Each pass was committed with its sound rather than recorded flat. That closes doors deliberately: it means the next part is played into a finished context, and the player hears what they are joining.

Mastered as one piece

The material runs continuously, so the level and tonal decisions were made across the whole rather than track by track. Section-to-section consistency mattered more than any individual section being as loud as it could be.
